I am revisiting my challenge to ride from Lands End to John O'Groats and back again on a stand up bike - 1700 miles in 12 days.

I attempted this challenge in 2017 but, after reaching John O'Groats in under 5 days, I was forced to abandon due to the support vehicle breaking down.

The ride will start on Sunday 24 June and I am hoping to achieve it in approximately 12 days. I am an experienced marathon and endurance runner but this extreme challenge takes me way beyond anything else I have attempted, therefore I thought I would use this challenge to raise money for Dementia UK which is a charity close to my heart. My father suffered from this terrible condition before he passed away and now my mother also suffers.

I feel I need to complete this challenge as a thank you to the many people who generously donated to my designated charities last year.
