I'm running the Bupa Great Manchester 10K along with my old colleagues from Manchester International Festival. Some of us have never run at all before.

We are fundraising for some particularly good causes. The cause I have chosen (The Christie cancer hospital in Manchester) is particularly close to my heart because they were so wonderful to my mum when she was terminally ill in 2010.
