In 2017 I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease after a confusing mis-diagnosis, an all too common occurrence for young people suffering from IBD. 

After nearly 3 years of different therapies, medications and surgeries I am now in remission and living the life I never thought i'd be able to after my diagnosis.

I am keen to raise awareness for both Crohn's and Colitis, as they affect so many people in the UK, yet little is known about the diseases (I didn't even know what Crohn's was when I was diagnosed). Gut health is the fast moving area of medical research, moving ever closer to find a cure for these autoimmune diseases. 

The causes of Crohn's and Colitis are unknown and there are currently no cures but hopefully by fundraising and raising awareness we can make the lives of those affected that little bit easier.
