Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page :)

Who, what, where, when, how?

On March 25th this year I will be taking part in the Lincoln 10k road race, raising money for Parkinson's UK. I've chosen this charity as my Grandad has Parkinson's and I'd like to raise the profile of the charity and raise some money to help them in their great work.

I've chosen to run the Lincoln 10k because a) I love Lincoln, b) I reported on it last year and said to myself that this year I'd take part in it and c) I ain't running no marathon. (Not yet, anyway.)

Training

I start training on Sunday 8th January around Bestwood Country Park and I hope to keep you all updated with my progress with my online diary, photos and maybe even a video (depending on how well everything's going!).

A bit about JustGiving

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I appreciate any donations, however big or small, so please donate now. The more we raise, the faster I'll run........

Thank you,

Stephanie :)

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
