Story

The National Brain Appeal - Aphasia Appeal.

Over the last 7 years Mum had been battling a rare form of dementia, called Aphasia. Her quality of life had deteriorated so much so that she found it hard to communicate in the end which was so difficult to see and very frustrating for her. She had gone from a lady who was a social butterfly to someone who found it difficult to express how she was feeling or even say what she wanted for breakfast. But we supported every step of the way.

Mum was a wonderful wife, mother and Nanna, and in her eyes, I (her son) could never do any wrong and neither could her lovely grandchildren who adored her. The memories we all have will never be forgotten.  She will be missed every day by us as a family.

Rather than flowers as a tribute we are asking those who knew Mum to contribute to this vital fight to benefit others in her honour.
