Marie Curie is the largest independent provider of end of life care and
the largest charitable provider of hospice care beds in Scotland

In June/July 2022 (Date Changed due to Covid-19) at the age of 66 I will be joining other like-minded people treking the Canadian Rockies to raise funds for Marie Curie Hospices, This is not a Holiday we sleep in tents & trek up to 22km a day to raise Funds for Marie Curie Care, I am doing this because Marie Curie nurses and Doctors looked after my late wife Carol & others in their Hospices & Homes, The Palative care given is second to none for Patients & their Families.

Fundraising for Marie Curie is a real pleasure for me as I know the money I raise will help more people like my Wife to get the best care at the end of their lives. I’ve seen the difference Marie Curie Nurses can make first hand at the most important time in a Person's life and I want to make sure that they can continue this amazing work for others in the same position.

Thank you to all who have donated so far to this great cause, But we still need more to donate, Did you know that Marie Curie need over £2.5 million pounds each week to be able to give the services they are giving, They have 9 Hospices around the Country 2 Being in Scotland, 1 in Northern Ireland & 6 in England so they are never far away from you. The Hospices are part funded by the NHS but still need to raise over 50% to fund their services from Donations so please however much you can give will help. it cost Marie Curie over £450  per day to care for each Paitent in their Hospices, £200 per night will give nine hours care at Home overnight. Because of the CoronaVirus they have been unable to carry on with their fundraising so they need all the help they can right now and any monies donated through our pages go straight to them Now. They are frontline workers going into patients houses & Hospices, You never know when you will need their services,
