Story

I wouldn't have ran the Oslo Marathon in 2012 or the Amsterdam Marathon in 2014 if I knew in 2017 I would luckily get a ballot entry to London 2017!

Anyway, I have no doubt this, my 3rd marathon, will be the most epic. It will also be a fantastic chance to willingly, and without force of a charity place, raise some money for my favourite charity, the RNLI.

I have set no target, nor do I have any expectations. I would just like to kindly ask that you consider donating as much, or as little, as you like. I have chosen the RNLI as I spent a lot of my childhood on the Lincolnshire and Norfolk beaches where, due to tidal strength, the RNLI are ever-present. Therefore, I've just always put spare change in a lifeboat charity box - because you never know if you'll need a lifeboat.

Once I found out the Workington station in Cumbria were campaigning for a new all-weather boat, I just that I'd love to support this. So, they are currently at £99,262 out of a target of £150,000. What a great cause to contribute to!

Thanks everyone. Marathon number 3......! I'm in pain thinking about it.
