In January this year I was contacted by a lifelong friend who had been diagnosed with that horrible disease that has affected almost all of us in one way or another.
He told me he was going to do the Manchester 10k and asked would I do it with him and lots of other friends.
It will be an absolute honour and now I need to raise some money for the cause.
