This is the 4th year I've taken part in the cycle challenge with the team, helping to raise funds for Street Action. I'm really looking forward to the ride.

Street Action is a UK charity supporting the work of New Generation in Burundi.New Generation emerged from the civil war that swept Burundi between 1993-2005. They continue to respond to the effects of years of civil war amongst the young generations on the streets: engaging them through outreach, back to school and re-integration support and entrepreneurship training for older boys and young women.They work to enable children and young people from the streets to reach their full potential and become leaders of a new Burundi.

In 2018 we raised funds to purchase a plot of land in Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi, which is now the permanent home of New Generation. Alongside helping developing their programmes, our focus for 2019 is to help them raise the money needed to build the first permanent building on this site. As a team of supporters, we all want to do our bit by either cycling, running and walking the 10,000 km between London and Bujumbura, and raise money for New Generation as we do! #london2buja
