Story

Manchester to Blackpool is over 60 miles and will take place on the 4th July. Not sure I have fully thought this through... :)

I have only taken up road cycling in the last 12 months, so this first challenge feels like quite a big one for me! :) I have helped others with raising funds for HDA in the past but thought it was about time that I did something myself!

I was aware of Huntington's in the past but i didn't know a great deal about it until one of my friends, Emma, told us that she was diagnosed and living with this. She bravely spoke about it last year -

How being diagnosed with a fatal disease changed my life (hda.org.uk)

Hoping to complete some more events, in the future, as the world begins to open up. Some 10k runs and possibly even another half marathon.

Thank you to https://redcctv.co.uk/ who are sponsoring this first event, providing funding and support for the 30+ of us completing this ride.

The Huntington's Disease Association supports anyone who is affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. They pursue the best possible care; provide training & advice to families and professionals; raise awareness, and promote research towards better treatment and care.
