At 4pm on the 12th June I will be donning my wetsuit, swimming cap and goggles and swimming two laps of the mile long course in Lake Windermere. There won't be a wall to push off every 50m, the water won't be crystal clear and there's a slight chance it might be a bit cold. But it'll be fine right? I mean I've done *some* training.

In all seriousness, I am aiming to do this in under 70minutes. Some of you will know that cancer has touched my family so with Macmillan being official charity for the Great North Swim this seems a Great North Opportunity to raise some money. So please do donate as little or as much as you would like to. If not, I will just accept your admiration.
