#Run4Pieta with Stratford Grangecon GAA
We are a small club but we have a mighty community in our 2 villages so come on Stratford and Grangecon let’s #Run4Pieta and see how many Kms we can cover.
Our club has very strong connections with the Darkness to Light events with our closest annual walk in Baltinglass being established by some of our members. We are enormously proud of this connection and want to help bring our communities together for this is event in a new unique way.
How far will you go for Pieta!
•We want you to within HSE-Covid19 guidelines to walk/run your 5km with your families, connect with your family that are away from home by walking their 5km at the same time & proudly sport our club colours along with something yellow or a darkness to light T-shirt it you have one.
Send us a picture of you doing your walk in your club colours to our social media message accounts or alternatively share it on your own social media and tag our club for us to re-share it. Make sure the post is set to “public” view . Make sure to share the link when you have completed your walk and posted your photos.
• Tag your post using #DILSunriseAppeal #DIL2020 #run4pieta so we can raise awareness for Pieta and make a difference and then tag us @stratfordGrangeconGAA if using Instragram & Facebook or on twitter using @StratConGAA
We have seen across the country how communities have rallied. Our €1000raised will help to save a life by helping Pieta to carry out their work.
In the midst of the global pandemic, the annual darkness to light events have been cancelled which will result in €6.5 million of a shortfall. With Pieta house a critical service for many and as darkness continues within this time of crisis for some we want to shine a light.
*If people cannot donate at this time we would like to see them walk in solidarity with Pieta and share their message. Our club understands how difficult these times are for people #GAA #Community #loveYourClub
