lynne cox is raising money for Glasgow Women's Aid

Orchards Gardens Balloon Festival · 29 August 2020

We are putting out an urgent appeal for donations to ensure that we can continue to provide support to those experiencing higher levels of domestic abuse during lockdown and for the impact this will have once lockdown eases.

Story

The COVID-19 outbreak has increased the risk for those experiencing domestic abuse and this has been evident in the fear and anxiety our workers have heard from the women, children and young people they support. The GWA workers are experts in this field, and have worked tirelessly to adapt the ways in which they support, in order to keep being a safe space for survivors at this time. But they need your help. Please consider donating to this organisation - previous donations have gone to: - Ensuring a full-time position of a Crisis Support Worker for a whole year - Group support sessions for families - Food vouchers and activity packs for families in refuge These donations have an impact. These donations are important. For the 75 days we have been in lockdown, we are asking for help in raising £100 for each day of this lockdown. So please, donate what you can, share our campaign with your friends. Thank you.
