Group B Strep is the leading cause of life-threatening infection in newborn babies, causing sepsis, pneumonia and meningitis. Help raise awareness to protect babies from this preventable infection.

Story

Group B Streptococcus is the UK's most common cause of life-threatening infection in newborn babies and of meningitis in babies under age 3 months. On average in the UK, at least-two babies a day develop a group B Strep infection -one baby a week dies from their GBS infection, and-one baby a week survives with long-term disabilities – physical, mental or both.Yet most group B Strep infections are preventable. Group B Strep Support informs families & health professionals about group B Strep to save tiny lives.

My dear friend suffered and lost so deeply as a result of strep b something she or i had never heard of, if awareness was made acrossed the board and the mother was made aware then we have more chance of saving poor lil babies lifes.

Also as a carrier myself and very luckily got antibiotics while in labour, but i have to stress this was only because i shouted loud enough and had the time to shout that i got them, please pay to do the private test because in the cold light of day it really is not worth it, also get to know all the symptoms if you go into premature labour, fever and the other symptoms.

Please please even if it is a £1.00 it all adds up in the steps to raise awareness xxx
