There is power in community.
The response to coronavirus has demonstrated that. Sharing food, running errands, delivering medicine: all examples of people coming together to support those in need.
But it shouldn't stop there. Perhaps now more than ever, communities like ours should feel able to recognise and support those who are thinking of killing themselves. Thats where Grassroots comes in.
They tell people it's OK to talk about suicide. In fact, it's lifesaving. They teach how to spot and support those among us who are at risk. They make it simple to find help by signposting to lifesaving support services. Their work gets communities talking openly and effectively about suicide. When that happens, lives are saved.
But, they need your help.
Coronavirus has brought fundraising events to a halt, which impacts their ability to deliver and develop our work. Please donate to my page today and help Grassroots adapt to coronavirus.
