Story
There is power in community.
The response to coronavirus has demonstrated this power. Sharing food, running errands, delivering medicine: all examples of people coming together to support those in need.
But it shouldn't stop there. Perhaps now more than ever, communities should feel able to recognise and support those who are thinking of killing themselves. That's where we come in.
We tell people it's OK to talk about suicide. In fact, it's lifesaving. We teach how to spot and support those among us who are at risk. We make it simple to find help by signposting to lifesaving support services. Our work gets communities talking openly and effectively about suicide. When that happens, lives are saved.
But, we need your help.
Coronavirus has brought fundraising events to a halt, which impacts our ability to deliver and develop our work. Please donate to Grassroots today and help us adapt to coronavirus. Donate today and help us save lives.
With your donations we will:
- Deliver vital training through webinars, teaching people to spot and support someone with suicidal thoughts
- Distribute life-saving resources to thousands of people, putting support services at their fingertips
- Encourage open conversations about suicide through our online and offline campaigns
