Charlotte went to Zomba, Malawi for over 3 months on a GAP project working for Mbedza on the all the projects described below. In addition she taught  English at a local school to classes of around 70!  We were really fortunate to be able to visit her as part of one of the trips the Charity runs each year.  It was a wonderful opportunity to meet the local charity workers and the community they serve,  seeing first hand the difference the projects make to peoples’ lives.  For all of us it was a life enhancing experience, and if you wish to help celebrate our silver wedding with a donation, that would be much appreciated.

Mbedza Projects Support is tackling issues of extreme poverty in Malawi in four areas:1. We are improving the livelihoods of women and girls through our stove building.2. We are helping tackle HIV/AIDS and the stigma of HIV through our centre at Songani.3. We are helping tackle deforestation as well as providing the means for people in the UK to take responsibility for their carbon footprints through our tree planting programme.4. We are helping more students in Malawi complete their Secondary Education through our orphan support.
