Story
It took years for my grandfather to get the proper diagnosis of PSP, a degenerative brain disease what is often misdiagnosed as Parkinson’s. Little is known about the disease, and there is currently no treatment, so I’ve witnessed my Pop Pop (John Snyder Sr.) struggle through the years as the disease has progressed, losing his ability to drive, walk, fine motor skills, but most importantly his independence.
PSPA is one of the only charities dedicated to improving the lives of people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), and the only PSP charity in the UK. They provide information and support for people affected by PSP & CBD whilst funding research into the causes, treatment, and eventually a cure. Together we can stop PSP & CBD in their tracks.
