Hi Everyone,

We are a group of 14 individuals who have decided to embark on a life changing challenge to climb Kilimanjaro starting the trek on Saturday 3 September 2016. Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano, 5,895m high and located in Tanzania. It will take us 6 days to complete the trek and we’re very excited to start our training and get to the
top.

Our team - "Summits Wrong With Us" - includes: Stacey Murtagh, Jonathan Murtagh, Sam Kelsey, Julie Everson, Oliver Somers, Alex Cox, Ibiza Bolonini, Nick Marjoribanks, Stephen Clarke, Dipesh Patel, Kat Knight, David Knight, Carolyn Oliveira Max, Roberta Mantovani Calleja and Gemma Brown. 

The reason we’re doing this is not only for our own personal ambition but to raise funds and awareness for Marie Curie. Most of us within the group have had personal experiences of our loved ones being affected by Cancer and without the support and care from Marie Curie nurses it would be an even more painful journey than it already is.

Marie Curie does tremendous work providing care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK and Ireland. This isn't just a nursing job, this is a calling and without these individuals I just don’t know how we would cope. Nurses work night
and day in people’s homes and hospices offering specialist care. Without hesitation "Summits Wrong With Us" is determined not only to reach the top but raise lots of funds to go directly to Marie Curie for our efforts.
