Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In January 2014 Herbie , mine and Dan's youngest son & Charlie , Lucy , Joffy & Wendy's youngest nephew, turned 5 years old. His first present on that day was a blood transfusion as he was really unwell in hospital in Oxford. In May 2014 he underwent a bone marrow transplant at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Herbie has a rare Primary Immune Deficiency that has left him vulnerable to bacterial infection and has already battled meningitis , an empyema and more recently he contracted a rare mycobacterial infection. His transplant offers him the hope of a life free from the worry of constant life threatening infections. Herbie's brave big brother, Rufus (6 years old) is a perfect match and went to Great Ormond Street to donate his bone marrow on May 16th. His big sister Lily (11 years old) spent a week in Great Ormond Street last year when she was also diagnosed with this rare immune deficiency.
Please give generously as Dan, Charlie , Joffy, Lucy & Wendy are hoping to raise lots of money for Great Ormond Street hospital by running 10K. Follow Herbie's journey in my blog at
