We breed and train guide dogs to give blind people freedom and mobility

Story

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives. Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.

I will be running/swimming 100miles in January. I will also be organising a cake fundraising event in February at home if Covid restrictions allow. Sophie's fiancée Lewis has suffered sightloss and is awaiting a guide dog, so this charity is close to our hearts. Lew will also be taking part in the event

Thank you in advance for any donations gratefully recieved. XX

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
