In the UK alone, Leukaemia affects more than 650 children per year. Worldwide, there are more than 1.5 million deaths as a result of invasive fungal infections.

I am running the Royal Parks Half on 09^th October in memory of my wonderful son, Noah (with whom I am pictured at Great Ormond Street Hospital above). He was so brave, and inspiring and is at the heart of Noah’s Pink Balloon Leukaemia Fund. 

My husband and I had never heard of Mucormycosis, the deadly fungal infection which led to his death, so we are proud to be funding a Fellowship to develop vital diagnostic tools and further understanding of this disease to help save another child’s life.
