I am running London's run to the beat half marathon, i am doin this for a personal goal but also to help raise money for a cause close to my heart.

I am running for Alzeimers Research, i think one way or another we have all been affected by the causes of dementia.

I also work as a carer and see the effects of dementia everyday, this is a scary thing to see as this could easily be myself oneday.     

Dementia stops for no one.

Dementia affects 820,000 people in the UK. 25 million of the UK population have a close friend or family member with dementia. As well as the huge personal cost, dementia costs the UK economy £23 billion a year, more than cancer and heart disease combined. Despite these figures, dementia research is desperately underfunded.
