Why? 

The month of February 2023, in just over 6 months time, should (hopefully) be the month my wonderful mother gets to say goodbye to chemo. Since her diagnosis, despite the set backs, mummy has continued to be her usual strong, brave, and determined self as she’s been kicking C’s butt. I wanted to do something requiring a little strength and courage on my part (albeit I cannot begin to fathom the amount of strength she has required to get her through until now with a smile on her face) to support mummy alongside her final climb against the disease. As such, I am fundraising for Breast Cancer Now.

No one thinks the dreaded C will affect them or one of their loved ones, until it sadly does. Breast Cancer Now is a charity that provides support to those affected directly by breast cancer as well as providing a wealth of information for those supporting loved ones going through various steps in their recovery.
