At the beginning of  2020 I decided to run the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise funds for Tŷ Hafan. Tŷ Hafan is a leading Welsh childrens charity which provides comfort, care and support to children with life-limiting conditions, along with their families.

After Erwan was diagnosed with neonatal Marfan syndrome (find out more here: https://www.marfan.org/marfan-related-conditions/neonatalmarfan) back in January 2019, Tŷ Hafan accepted us into their family support programme. They offered us practical advice, emotional support,  access to their hospice should Erwan need medical care, and made us aware of a range of other services, such as sibling support, available to us as a family.

Tŷ Hafan have an hospice in Sully, near Cardiff, run diverse community programmes, and offer short-break care for children and their families. You will find more information about their work here: https://www.tyhafan.org.

The Half-Marathon (https://www.cardiffhalfmarathon.co.uk) will take place on 03 October 2021. Thank you to those of you who have already donated before the 2020 edition had to be postponed and then definitively cancelled! I have three months and a half months to get ready to run 21K and, more importantly, to reach my fundraising target!

I aim to raise £1000, so I will need your help (and your money...)!

En début d'année 2020, j'ai décidé de courir le semi-marathon de Cardiff pour collecter des fonds pour Tŷ Hafan. Tŷ Hafan est une fabuleuse organisation caritative galloise pour les enfants, qui apporte confort, soins et soutien aux enfants atteints de maladies réduisant leur espérance de vie, ainsi qu'à leur famille.

Après qu’Erwan a été diagnostiqué du syndrome néonatal de Marfan (pour en savoir plus sur le syndrome néonatal de Marfan: https://www.marfan.fr/signes/maladie/chez-les-enfants/) en janvier 2019, Tŷ Hafan nous a accepté dans leur programme de soutien aux familles. Ils nous ont offert des conseils pratiques, un soutien émotionnel, l'accès à leur hospice si Erwan a besoin de soins médicaux, et nous ont offert toute une série d'autres services, comme le soutien aux frères et sœurs, dont nous pouvons bénéficier en tant que famille.

Le semi-marathon (https://www.cardiffhalfmarathon.co.uk) était initialement prévu le 4 octobre 2020, mais il a été reporté puis annulé. Il se tiendra le 3 octobre 2021. Merci a celles et ceux qui ont déjà donné avant que l'épreuve ne soit annulée l'an dernier. J'ai maintenant trois mois et demi pour être prêt à courir 21km et, surtout, à atteindre mon objectif de collecte de fonds !

J'ai l'intention de récolter 1000 livres sterling, j'aurai donc besoin de votre aide (et de votre argent...) !
