Story
As school continues to be closed the PTA invites all Talbot pupils to try the Talbot Home Heptathlon during week beginning 20th April. We are also hoping to raise money for the NHS teams in Leeds who are on the frontline of this crisis so have set up this page for Talbot's answer to Ernie's Big Challenge. All sponsorship of the children's efforts will go directly to the Leeds Teaching hospitals.
The choice to ask family or friends to sponsor the challenge is completely optional. A suggested amount is £5 (10p per challenge per day if completed), but any amount (£1 is minimum) would be welcome and remember sponsorship money can be increased by 25% by claiming gift aid if you are a UK tax payer.
The 7 challenges have been designed so they can be done inside, outside, with or without the need for any equipment so accessible to all. To complete the Talbot Home Heptathlon you must complete the following 7 sets each day (20th - 26th April):
1. Star jumps x 10
2. Burpees x 10
3. Bounces x 10 (hopping, keepy uppies, trampoline)
4. Sit ups x 10
5. Handstands x 10
6. Dance for 1 minute
7. Run up a flight of stairs
For those looking for an extra challenge you can take on the Talbot Super Home Heptathlon which increases reps throughout the week ending on
Day 7: 40 x star jumps etc, 7 mins dancing, run up 7 flights of stairs
