The successful reconstruction of 20 schools in the most affected regions, coupled with the provision of teacher and learning aids, uniforms, the establishment of community libraries and teacher training, has positively impacted over 2,000 children.

Story

In November, I will travel to Nepal with Adventure Aid where we are volunteering to put the finishing touches to new schools built this year by AAN and The Juniper Trust, these particular schools and children have received very little outside help since the earthquake of 2015.

In order to provide much needed school supplies and uniforms to these children when we arrive we must each raise money before we go. So I have decided to run the 10K Rough Runner in Finsbury Park on September 7th and I am looking for sponsors!

Anything you can give, big or small will make a Huge difference and I will be forever grateful!

Following the Earthquake in Nepal in 2015, The Juniper Trust has focused on the reconstruction of damaged schools in remote areas that would otherwise receive little help. In just over three years, 14 schools have now been rebuilt and a hostel for blind students in Kathmandu reconstructed. This has been an incredible achievement thanks to all the hard work from volunteers and donations gratefully received. Continuing where there is still a need, the Juniper Trust plan to raise a further £50,000 to rebuild three schools in 2019 These remote villages are close to Bhandar, approximately 100km from Kathmandu and are still using temporary shelters for schools, almost 4 years after the earthquake.Work has already started on a new three-classroom school and a new toilet block for 50 children in in Rawa Dolu Village, thanks to donations from Cicerone Press who, as part
