Story
In March 2025, my darling mother sadly passed away due to complications of years of suffering from alcohol addiction. When I was younger, she was the warmest, gentlest soul who loved going to gigs (especially boybands), travelling, walking our family dogs and doting on me and my brother. Alcohol addiction stole her joy, bright spark, health, and eventually her life.
Alcohol Change UK are a charity focussing on reduction of alcohol related harm through providing public awareness, support services, and harm reduction advice.
This Autumn, I will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of Mum, to raise money for a cause so close to my heart that will support people like her. Money raised will go towards supporting addicted people to reduce drinking, and providing addictions training to front line health and social care workers.
Thank you in advance for supporting my huge challenge and donating whatever you can, it will make a massive difference.
