Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income through fundraising events. The Virgin Money London Marathon alone, which should have taken place on Sunday 26 April, is the world's biggest one-day fundraising event, which raised more than £66.4 million for thousands of charities in 2019.
From 26th April for one week the nation will be taking on 2.6 challenges so the staff, friends and family of Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire will be completing a relay race (adhering to government guidelines and social distancing) all to raise vital funds for Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire. Please note: We will all be completing our own legs of the relay seperately to follow government guidelines and social distancing. But look out for pictures and videos of us completing our leg of the relay!!
The money raised will help Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire support older people throughout the two counties through this difficult time.
In the relay we have...
Caroline - 26 lengths of her paddling pool
Sarah - 260m dizzy sprint
Colin - 26 mins playing video games and 26 mins of walking the dog (not at the same time!)
Sally - 26,000 step walk -
Lesley - 26 mins of dancing round her kitchen
Rachel and her son - 26 trampoline star jumps and 260 hula hoops
Juliette - 26 crunches and 26 mins of dancing exercises
Carrolle - 2.6km up and down her garden (that's 275 times!)
