Story
Surrey University are hosting their 5th biennial Fencing Marathon, an event Chris help found originally. The event helps a chosen local charity, decided by the current students at the University of Surrey's fencing club. The event welcome fencers from clubs across the country to battle through 24 hours of sport in aid of charity.
Our commitment is to (try!) and stay awake for the entire event, fencing as much as possible.
This years chosen charity is Sight for Surrey (https://www.sightforsurrey.org.uk/) The money raised for Sight forSurrey to help their fund JobSense scheme:
Job Sense is an employment programme for those who are Deaf, blind, deafblind, hard of hearing or vision impaired. There is an increasingly competitive job market and asignificant disability employment gap in the UK. Consequently, manypeople with a sensory impairment struggle to find work and lack the confidence and skills to apply.
