We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

At 32 years old I was diagnosed with Melanoma Cancer & I continue to Beat it. 13 years later at 45 years old I was diagnosed with a Grade 3 Breast Cancer which is Hormone Receptor Positive .. I faced a Mastectomy & Lymph Clearance, have had Several Delayed reconstructions,  18 weeks of Chemotherapy, & continue 10 years of Hormone Therapy (Tamoxifen)..I will beat this too....My Melanoma Cancer returned at the same time as the Breast Cancer and I had surgery for that too during Chemotherapy......all of this at the same time as battling Crohns Disease which flared immediately prior to the Cancer Diagnosis.I continue to receive treatment for that too. I will continue to fight against Cancer.....

CHALLENGE PART 1 COMPLETED

I will run (walk or Crawl) this 5k race with my 2 beautiful daughters at my side willing me on every step of the way....helping to raise money and give back and inspire Others to help fight the battle against cancer and finally find a Cure is at the forefront of our thoughts in doing this race. Never Give Up Never Give In.

CHALLENGE PART 2  COMPLETED

Having successfully completed the Race For Life Durham on 28th June 2015, I now plan my next fund raising mission. I plan to ride various parts of the Pennine Bridleway North & South including the two loops (Settle & Mary Towneley) & the many Bridleways in Teesdale Co.Durham & neighbouring Counties on my Coloured ‘Therapy Pony’ Rose, a 12 year old native coloured pony and also accompanied by 4 of my other Ponies, Millie a 4 year old Traditional coloured , Lilly a 13 year old Dales, Lola a 14 year old Coloured Part Bred Welsh & Nellie a 5 year old Shetland. The Challenge is to ride some 500 miles total. This will be in several stages over 2019/20 and i intend to complete the Mission in my 50th Year 🤫😚 Which will also be the 5 year Survivor milestone since being diagnosed with Breast Cancer....& 18 Years since being diagnosed with Melanoma Cancer!! I will complete this Challenge mainly on my own but on some occasions with my Husband and my two daughters who will be riding Bikes and horses. Bring on the Challenge !

To date we have raised almost £4,000 here with Just Giving & have inspired a few others to also raise money for Cancer Research totalling some 1kplus .. i would like to think  we could reach £5,000 if I undertake the challenge of a 500 mile Horse Ride whilst I continue to fight 2 Cancers and Crohns !!! But my mission would be to try and double this and reach £10,000. Please dig deep and once again I thank You from the bottom of my Heart!

CHALLENGE PART 3

Having successfully completed ‘Never Give Up Never Give In 500 mile Ride Challenge’ well ahead of schedule on November 3rd ... just 8 calendar months after embarking on it on the Pennine Bridleway on March 3rd just ahead of My 50th Birthday...Smashing the £5,000 Target I set out to achieve ...I feel the need to continue with my Fund raising effort for Cancer Research Uk to hopefully take that amazing amount already raised to £10,000... so if I can ‘ride 500 Miles’ Im sure I ‘can ride 500 more’ . Yes 1,000 miles Ride Challenge so hopefully Ii can add another ‘0’ on to that ridden total in Donations ... £10,000 is the Target .... I would not be here and survived Cancer if not for the amazing Research advances... one in two of us we be affected by Cancer in our lifetime... help me to give back and end all Cancers. Please continue to dig deep and Support me during this hard challenge. Rose 🌹 my wonderful coloured mare continues to plod away the miles, helped by Lola, Millie, & Nellie
