Story

As part of BMG's fundraising challenge to raise £35,000 for Heart Research UK by 2023, helping to save and extend the lives of heart patients in the UK, Team BMG are taking on the Great North Run!   the world's largest half marathon, which this year takes place on Sunday 12th September.

Team BMG, which consists of Simon Kitchen (Client Implementation Director), Lee Cartwright (Research Director), Rob Struthers and Julie Hollingsworth (both Associate Directors), as well as Julie's brother John Hollingsworth (travelling from Michigan, USA to take part!) are hoping between them to raise at least £1,500 towards BMG's fundraising goal.

Any amounts raised will provide much-needed funds for Heart Research UK and help motivate Team BMG to make it through the 13.1 miles!

All funds will go to the June Wiseman memorial fund which has been set up in memory of our much-loved friend and colleague who sadly passed away in 2019, at the age of just 52. The fund is raising money for Heart Research UK Masterclasses (https://heartresearch.org.uk/masterclasses-2/).

These events, hosted in the UK, bring together heart surgeons and health professionals from around the world, to share knowledge and expertise of often life-saving surgical techniques. This shared knowledge of topics such as heart bypass, aortic surgery and heart transplantation will benefit heart patients from across the UK for many years, and ultimately help save and extend lives, creating a lasting legacy for June.

Your support is much appreciated.

Thank you

Julie, Simon, Lee, Rob and John x
