10 years ago our family was left devastated by the loss of our Wife and Mum Kim O’Connell. It completely crushed us and many others to have someone so special taken from us. Kim was an extraordinary lady who bravely fought cancer for 9 years. The most incredible, courageous, loving, happy, stong, beautiful and supportive superwoman we have ever known who touched the lives of so many in so many way. She is our hero and inspires us every single day. She lives on in each of us and is in our thoughts and hearts always.
Towards the end of Mum's life St Catherines helped us care and support her so that she got her wish of being at home with us. We simply cannot put into words the fantastic work they do, without them Mum would not have been as comfortable and happy as she could be back in 2009. So this is why we are taking on 2 events between us this year to make as much money as we can to remember Mum 10 years on and help them to continue giving to many families in the same situation as us.
