Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page to raise money for Kid's Kidney Research.
Apologies for those who sponsored me (James) last year but I can wholeheartedly guarantee that this is the last time I ever do anything so stupid and painful! Nevertheless, Shel has decided to join me in the madness of the London Marathon this year and together we are looking to raise over £5k, so anything you can afford will be greatly appreciated.
Kid's Kidney Research is a great charity and very close to my heart. 10% of children with renal failure and 1% of all babies born in the UK suffer from vesicoureteric reflux, a condition where infected urine can pass from the bladder back into the kidneys, thereby permanently damaging them. This is what happened to me, but fortunately due to reseach groups such as KKR and the great work of Great Ormond Street Hospital, I managed to avoid a life of transplants and dialysis. Many don't!
If you do donate, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box - it costs you nothing extra but raises so much more for the charity.
Many thanks from the both of us in advance!
