Story
Terry, Richard, Charlotte, Will & Phoebe are doing the Moonlight walk in loving memory of Sally, a loving Wife, Mother & Nanny who will be missed so very much. St Michael’s hospice provided tremendous support and care for Sally at home in her final days. The nurses made an emotional and difficult time that little bit easier with great respect, dignity & care given. The funds this hospitable require to run are very necessary and we raise funds for them in the hope their good work will always be there for others when needed. Thank you to everyone who donates.
As a charity, our care is provided to our patients and their families free of charge. It will cost over £5.5 million to provide these services to the local community with around 20% funding from the North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group. The remaining funds come from Events, Fundraising, Gifts in Wills, Lottery and Retail activities to support patients and their families affected by life-limiting illness.Next year, Hospice costs will rise - that's a fact. The Fundraising Department of St. Michael's Hospice is constantly amazed and inspired by the generosity of you, our supporters, and find it especially touching how time and again you are able to think of the Hospice with a donation.
