Donate before my mum wakes up!

Donate for My Mum! · 25 March 2020
This fundraising started when a tweet I wrote about my mum went viral.
She had just gone to bed following a 12-hour night shift at St Cuthbert's hospice. When she walked through our door, it was at the exact moment I read Prince Charles had tested positive for coronavirus. But my mum, and nurses up and down the country, are still not being routinely tested for Covid-19.
As anyone who has met her will attest, my mother such a wonderful human, loved in her community, and she has dedicated her life to caring for others.
It would mean the world to her if you could donate what you can to her hospice!
I want to surprise her before she wakes from her sleep ... she's really not going to be happy I made her story twitter famous! So a bit of funding for her beloved St Cuthbert's will soften the blow.
Here's some more information about St Cuthberts:
Over three decades ago, a group of Durham residents came together for a common cause. They saw the absence of care and support available for those coming to the end of their lives and decided to take action. Thanks to their many years of fundraising and dedication, St Cuthbert’s Hospice first opened its doors in 1988 to provide services, free of charge, for those with advanced illness and those approaching the end of their lives.
At the heart of St Cuthbert’s Hospice is the individual who is seen as a unique person deserving of respect and dignity. Our aim is to support each person, and their family and friends, helping them to make informed choices and decisions affecting their lives.
