Event: Dragon Boat Festival 2017, on 10 September 2017
An exciting team building challenge for teams of 13-20. Race to victory in 40ft dragon boats, no experience needed!

Story

St Catherine's Hospice is a local charity intended to support people in the community who are affected by serious illness. The charity provides end of life care to patients and their families from within the hospice itself and in the community.

It costs £17,225 a day to provide this care, so events like the Dragon Boat Festival are vital in enabling the charity to continue the fantastic work they do. This summer, the Thakeham Lions are back to do their bit- taking on the 2017 St Catherine's Dragon Boat Race!

The relationship between St Catherine's Hospice and Thakeham has continued to grow over the last year, as plans are finalised to deliver new facilities for the hospice as part of a new Thakeham development at Pease Pottage. We're immensely proud to support such an incredible cause and hope you'll join us in support for this fantastic event.

Good luck Thakeham Lions!
