The Thakeham Lions are thrilled to be taking on their third Dragon Boat Race in aid of St Catherine's Hospice. 

St Catherine's Hospice is a local charity intended to support people in the community who are affected by serious illness. The charity provides end of life care to patients and their families from within the hospice itself and in the community. 

It costs over £18,000 a day to provide this care, so events like the Dragon Boat Festival are vital in enabling the charity to continue the fantastic work they do. The Thakeham Lions are all excited to be doing their bit- taking on the 2018 St Catherine's Dragon Boat Race! 

The relationship between St Catherine's Hospice and Thakeham has continued to grow over the last year, as plans are finalised to deliver new facilities for the hospice as part of a new Thakeham development at Pease Pottage. We're immensely proud to support such an incredible cause and hope you'll join us in support for this fantastic event.
