Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Recently I started a blog at http://thechangingways.com and later I got an idea that I could use it for raising money for charity. My inspiration was 7-year-old Charlie Simpson who raised large amounts of money for UNICEF after 2010 Haiti earthquake (that is how I found this site - justgiving.com).
Because my blog is about personal development and transformation
I thought that maybe instead of raising money for some environmental
organization (which was my first idea) I should rather raise money for
something more ralated to the topic. So I searched for charities at
JustGiving. I intend to visit India next year, so Take Heart
India was a natural choice. I also like their motto: "Work builds,
charity destroys". It reminds me of an old saying: Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime.
That is exactly what Take Heart India is doing. They are training blind students in IT skills that will guarantee them a job for
life. You can read more at their profile.
If you never visited this website before, here is some information about donations at JustGiving:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
