Fundraising for Maggie's Centres
Story
On Sunday 18th of February Garry Boyle and I are heading into The Slate Room Studio to record, mix, master and release an album in one day. You’ll be able to watch the entire process, from start to finish, in real time, via social media.
We’re giving the album away for FREE and in exchange we’re asking for donations to our JustGiving page. The Big Stream aims to raise awareness and funds for Maggie’s Edinburgh, a magnificent cancer support centre at the Western General.
There are 22 Maggie’s Centres all over the Uk, the Edinburgh centre being the very first one built 21 years ago. They are entirely self-funded and offer free practical, emotional and social support for anyone who’s been affected by Cancer. Maggie’s Edinburgh helps about 100 people a day who drop in for courses or just a cup of tea and a chat. The support they provide is invaluable for these people, their families and their friends who rely this kind of hands on, heart to heart help. So we’re gonna give Maggie’s our support and we’ll hope you’ll give us yours.
