Story

Richard Leech and Klavs Neilson, both Veterans of previous Cycle a Difference tours, have teamed up with Michael Warfield, David Best and Prateek Sinh, all residents of Hanoi, to raise US$6,000 by riding 610km with 12,000m of elevation gain in just 4 days in the remote North East of Vietnam from 21-24 March 2018.Our experience will begin with a visit to the Lao Cai Obstetrics Hospital and Newborn’s unit to witness first hand the impact that life saving equipment has had on saving the lives of sick babies. Later this year, this hospital will receive life support training by UK doctors funded by Cycle a Differences’ fundraising initiatives.“Despite having cycled and run around this area on more than a dozen occasions, it never fails to surprise how remote and challenging the terrain is and the distances that and difficulties that families and their sick babies have to travel to access high level care.” Says Richard Leech, the Captain of this years Hanoi Cyclists Team.
