Story

Here at The Hawthorns in Braintree Essex we select a charity to support for the year ahead.  Our wonderful and generous residents nominate a charity, normally close to their heart and the winner is also drawn from a basket by a resident.  We hold a number of complimentary fundraising events throughout the year to enable us to raise a much as possible; details of which you can find on our Facebook page.  We also encourage staff to help and support where possible.

We are delighted to support Great Ormond Street Hospital this year with many of our residents and staff having personal experience in receiving the fantastic care and support provided by their dedicated and hardworking team.

Our General Managers Paul and Sandra Tripney and our Head Chef Grant Burton have entered the Royal Parks Half Marathon taking place 14 October.  We wish them well and welcome your support in helping achieve our target.
