Story
It's been a little while since I did a personal challenge for The National Brain Appeal - the last being the Edinburgh Marathon a few years back. Running has been out of the question due to an annoying injury but I've finally found an activity that fits the bill. Dragon boat rowing. I took part in an event earlier this year with the team and I was thrilled when they agreed to take part in this mad challenge to help me raise funds for The National Brain Appeal.
And it really is a challenge - 21.6 miles up the Thames from the Docklands to Richmond. By all accounts this is not an "easy" one and the training is going to be tough to get us ready for at least 4 hours hard rowing. Let's hope the wind is behind us!
We did it! And in a great time too thanks to Paul, our helm, pushing us the whole way - 2.43:34. That's us in the clip below. All a bit achy now but very pleased - thanks to everyone for supporting us (and if you haven't yet - please do, we'd love to hit our target)

Thank you so much for supporting our efforts - it will keep us paddling when we want to give up and the funds raised will go to some amazing projects that The National Brain Appeal is currently supporting. Please do take a look on our website for more information on our work - nationalbrainappeal.org
