The ROC - Windermere · 25 September 2021
We're taking part in the 'The ROC England'. A Triathlon based event in hopes to raise money in support of the NHS frontline staff on ICU wards.
The race: 111km
The charity we have chosen to support is 'The Intensive Care Society'. They are the UK's leading critical care body who represent every profession on the front line of critical care. They exist to improve the lives of intensive care professionals and the quality of care that patients receive.
COVID-19 is taking its personal toll on our doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, therapists, dieticians, pharmacists and more. The price of commitment is already being paid in lost sleep and anxiety as they continue to fight for those we know and love. Almost all the 30,000 professionals working within Intensive Care, will require some level of support, whether as training in how to best treat COVID 19, access group sessions so that each professional can feel less isolated, or be given the option of one to one counselling.
The money raised through this campaign will be used in three ways:
Every penny helps!
Thanks,
Calum & Jake
