Story
Hi, I’m Tom — and for some reason (possibly a combination of optimism and poor decision-making), I’ve decided to run 26.2 miles in the London Marathon. But I’m not just doing it for the shiny medal or the excuse to eat my body weight in carbs. I’m running for Crohn’s & Colitis UK, a cause very close to my gut—literally—because I have Crohn’s disease myself.
Living with Crohn’s isn’t exactly glamorous (unless you think colonoscopies are the height of luxury), but it’s made me passionate about raising awareness and funds for the amazing people who support others like me. So please, donate generously—because if I’m willing to risk chafing in places I didn’t know existed, the least you can do is chip in a few quid.
Best,
Tom
