Story
Tia, Sarah, and Brandon are collectively swimming a 5km Swimathon at The Brixton Recreation Centre this March. We have banded together as a family to raise money towards Cancer Research and Marie Curie in memory of Chris who was a Father, Brother, Partner, and Brilliant Friend.
Tia's memory of Chris "When he took me to a Blackpink concert and we listened to the songs in the car on the way to work so he could get acquainted with the music, and he actually began to like (even though we didn't have the same music taste,) the songs and recognize the music at the concert."
If you don't know Chris, he was a loving father to Tia (pictured above,) here are some of the things we remember about him:
Chris was always very generous, forgiving, he cared for others and his friends well being and you could always call on him for advice and support. If you knew Chris personally or professionally you knew he was a workaholic, ran his life from his phone, and loved getting his hands on the latest technology. Chris really enjoyed trying new foods, listening to LOUD MUSIC, and traveling to new places with Tia. Chris was never one for fashion trends or shopping... Chris hated shopping. And Chris always had a strategy, for everything!
In 2016 Chris was diagnosed with a rare cancer, he explored every route to keep his health and didn't allow it to define him. He kept his life normal and fought to live as long as possible. Chris was able to outlive the doctors original prognosis and doubled his life expectancy which is why we are raising money for Cancer Research so that other families can have the chance to keep their loved ones around for as long as possible.
