Hi All,

Thanks for dropping by, I'm Tim a 51 year old dad, located in the wonderful village of Boston Spa! I have entered the 2022 Marathon Des Sable (Marathon of the Sands). The race is 250KM across the Sarah desert over 6 days carrying personal equipment and food, sleeping on the floor, in open sided tents. 

You may be wondering why! Well during my service in the military this race always came up in conversations, after 22 years of service and some 11 years since leaving, I finally have the time to train! 

The Charity I have chosen to represent is "Zarach", they are a Leeds based Charity that provide beds and basics for children in poverty. £150 will provide a bed and basics each for a child. I have set my fundraising amount at 10 beds. I find it difficult to think about any child in the UK not having a bed to sleep in. 

It would be an amazing achievement if you could help me raise that amount! In return I promise to train hard and prepare to complete this mammoth task! I have personally funded the race which is the best part of 5K this includes all of my equipment. So 100% of your donations will go to the charity. To get the ball rolling I have made the first donation.
