As October 2026 will see me celebrate my 17th year of having a guide dog walk beside me. It all started in October 2009 with my Double-Diva Retriever (Flatcoat x Golden Retriever) Vicky, who hung up her harness and handed over the guiding to Fizz (Labrador x Retriever) in January 2015; before she then retired just weeks before my amazing goofball Ben (full Golden Retriever) was born in November 2021, who I started working with in June 2023; so I wanted to do my bit and give back to a charity that has given me so much more than I could ever explain.

So, with Ben beside me we are set to walk 100km in October in support of Guide Dogs, to ensure they can continue their work to help people like me, with sight loss live the life we choose.

This is a very meaningful cause for me. They have given me strength l, independence and so much freedom, walking 100km is the least we can do!
