Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I Tobias Weber have the honour to run next years Virgin London Marathon for the charity Lepra - health in action.
The reason why I have chosen Lepra is on a family holiday to Crete in Greece about 9 years ago we went on a guided day trip to a small island called "Spinalonga" (known as Kalydon nowadays). We had a great tour guide who explained us everything about the history on the island and showed us photos of the people who were affected by the lepra diesease. As you maybe know does the disease causes open wounds on the body, particular on hands and legs. Sometimes it causes the entire loss of fingers and toes. In those days leprosy often gave large frightening wounds in the face resulting sometimes the loss of nose and ears. I still haven't forgotton about that yet and during the tour I became very thoughtful, therefore I thought in this way there is a connection between the charity and me. Again, I am very honoured to be running for such a great cause and I will do my very best to hit my target of £1,650.
My target to finish the race is 3:20:00.
I started the 24-week intermediate training on the 8th of November 2012.
