I, amongst 150 Harlequins supporters and legends, will be cycling 200km from The Twickenham Stoop to Kingsholm Stadium, Gloucester, on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th April to raise funds for the Harlequins Foundation.
The Harlequins Foundation is supporting:
SWITCH - encourages women and girls to get involved in rugby
METTLE - an innovative and exciting mental health campaign
The Brighter Futures Local Community Grants Programme - celebrates the amazing organisations and individuals who help to ensure our communities are happy, healthy and resilient.
I am pleased that the Harlequins Foundation also supports The Sebastian Adeniran–Olule Charitable Fund, set up in memory of Seb, my own friend and schoolmate, who tragically passed away on May 9th 2016 at the age of 20.
Seb became a member of the Harlequins Elite Player Development Group aged 13 and at 18 he became a full-time Academy player. On loan to Richmond FC, he was a regular starting member of the squad that saw the Club promoted from National League 1 into the Championship. Seb was also a member of the England U18 team that went on tour to South Africa and returned undefeated, and a member of the U20 team that became Six Nations Champions in 2015.
I am enormously thankful and grateful to all those who can sponsor me on this charity cycle ride and support these fantastic charities.
